SURFACE REPAIRS |
 |
| From the time they leave the factory, to final delivery in renovation or new construction, plumbing fixtures sometimes suffer the inevitable small ding or scratch. Fortunately, such damages can in most cases be repaired to “like new” condition using industry-approved materials and techniques. Bain Tech offers the following solutions to these common problems: |

ACRYLIC AND FIBERGLASS TUB AND SHOWER REPAIR
The “Classic” Repair
Similar to auto body repair. Fiberglass
backing and fillers are used to repair the damaged
area, followed by spraying and blending a high gloss
synthetic coating, to approach the original look and
finish. This is useful on large, or badly placed repairs,
or where aesthetics are paramount.

The “Spot” Repair
Bain Tech pioneered the use of
a one-stage “paste” filler, applied by
spatula, cured and polished, and which blends well
with the original color and finish. Our proprietary
formula has proven useful and very practical, for
small chips and other surface blemishes on acrylic
fixtures.

Polishing
AcrylIc and fiberglass surfaces
are generally thick enough such that minor surface
scratches, scuff marks, cigarette burns, and the like,
can usually be sanded out and polished up to a new,
high gloss finish comparable to the original.
